Brazilian
Partnership Begins To Expand - DUCTBUSTERS®
21 Brazil
As many of you already know the
DUCTBUSTERS® in Brazil not
only bought their first franchise from us
last year but also entered into a
partnership agreement with us to expand
the concept throughout the nation. Well,
we have good news. DUCTBUSTERS®
do Brazil has sold its first franchise in
one of the outlying cities. I will be
writing up a more comprehensive press
release for this and will send you all
some pictures of the actual signing of
the documents. This is a real step
forward for our Brazilian counterpart and
great credit needs to be given to them
for their perseverance in the
marketplace.
Currently DUCTBUSTERS® 21 is
working on a project with circular
ductwork up to 15 feet in diameter and
1500 meters or 4500 feet in length.
Please stay tuned for this press release
on our web site and I will be forwarding
this to all the national news agencies
for added national coverage.
By the way all the ductwork measurements
in Brazil are in Meters.

5th Annual Meeting a Huge Success
Our 5th Annual Meeting, which was held at
the Radisson Hotel on beautiful
Clearwater Beach, Florida, was attended
by over 40 owner/operators, managers,
supervisors and crew. It was, without a
doubt, the best meeting we've had. There
were speakers from all aspects of our
industry including President Tim Hebert
of the National Air Duct Cleaners
Association, Holly Bailey of Bailey
Engineering explaining the different
types filtration, Patrick O'Donnell from
Enviro Team telling us about the new
testing program designed specifically for
our franchise network, Walt Banicik from
Fosters answering questions about their
coating products and Steve Larson from
Nikro Products demonstrating their neg
air machines, vacuums and other tools. In
addition to these fine speakers, Tom
Yacobellis, CEO and President, gave
opening comments and other presentations
on marketing, employee retention and
future goals.
A highlight of the meeting was the
presentation by Marie Flannery and Mark
Hammock of DUCTBUSTERS®
proprietary computer program, the Bid
Estimator and automatic Proposal
Generator. This computer program will
allow non-skilled estimators to create a
custom proposal, detailing every
component to be cleaned and how it will
be cleaned, in less than two hours.
Although there were many things about the
meeting that rank high on the attendees'
list, one of the best is the opportunity
that everyone has to talk to other
DUCTBUSTERS® in the network
about anything. It doesn't matter if
you're just starting, or have been around
for awhile, there's no question that
won't be answered. That's what the
DUCTBUSTERS® network is all
about!
Everyone was excited about the new ideas
and strategies presented to them and many
were heard commenting they couldn't wait
to get home to start trying them.
Next year's meeting is already in the
planning stages and promises to be even
better!

"Wired
up and ready to Rock and Roll"
Great news from northeast Florida
DUCTBUSTERS® Palm Coast. They
are "on the grow" with their
latest weekend cleaning project at an
electrical manufacturing plant. This
project consisted of 20 split systems and
all related duct work. Public opinion was
very high on this project, with an
extremely favorable rating on the
satisfaction of the duct cleaning on the
job. They're also preparing to add
another truck to their fleet! I can't
tell you how excited we at Corporate are
for their good fortune and perseverance.
The client produces electrical connectors
such as ground logs and wire connectors
and is located in Ormond Beach, Florida.
Half of this project was conducted during
the Christmas break, with the other half
being completed on weekends. Special
thanks goes to all the production workers
at DB3!
"When
you absolutely, positively have to have
it there overnight..."
DUCTBUSTERS® Lafayette: For
the last several weeks, DB2 has been
cleaning the ducts in the 215,000 square
foot Federal Express main distribution
center in Memphis Tennessee. We have
received word today that they have passed
all initial FedEx inspections for their
cleaning and should expect two more
facilities of equal size. Great work
guys! Also, DB2 has purchased and tested
the new shaft drive brush system from
Switzerland with a 66' long cable.
Despite some initial problems, the cable
has dramatically increased production.

An
Educated Consumer is our Best Customer...
DUCTBUSTERS® Stuart: We have
just received word from Tom Sharkey that
he has been awarded a commercial job in
West Palm Beach at a local book store.
The thing that makes this very
interesting is that the City Inspector
would not clear the new facility for
occupancy until the A/C system had a
certified duct cleaning company clean the
ducts. We are going to apply both
certifications to this project (NADCA and
CHH) and provide the owner with a
certificate proving that the job was
conducted to the national standards. We
believe this in an extension of
Enviro-Team's work with educating the
county workers through the CHH course.

Now
it's time for us to take off our BEAKS
and put on our EARS!
DUCTBUSTERS® Orlando has
received a purchase order to begin
cleaning the ducts in Toon Town! This
seems like the perfect place to begin
what we hope is a long-term relationship
with the folks at Disney. Corporate
office will be assisting DB4 with the
project. We have worked closely with them
to ensure that the entire network will
benefit from this exposure. Way to go
DUCTBUSTERS® Orlando!
