DUCTBUSTERS®, the HVAC system and air duct cleaning industry’s most dynamic franchise network, has announced the establishment of its first west coast-based franchise. The eighteenth DUCTBUSTERS® owner hails from Portland, Oregon. The Clearwater, Florida-based franchisor has now licensed twenty-four exclusive areas.
Bill and Shirley Oleen purchased their DUCTBUSTERS® franchise this winter and are ready to serve residential and light commercial customers in the five county area that makes up greater Portland. Bill has been an HVAC contractor for the last ten years. He decided to look into duct cleaning when he couldn’t find a competent contractor to clean his customers’ oil furnaces. "It wasn’t the potential profits that got us into duct cleaning; it was the need for someone to do a proper job and deliver a service our customers couldn’t find elsewhere. Of course, that kind of situation usually leads to profits," said Bill, who will continue to operate his existing business, A&A Heating and Cooling Inc., to compliment his new DUCTBUSTERS® franchise.
The Oregon franchise marks DUCTBUSTERS® debut on the West Coast. "DUCTBUSTERS® has gone nation-wide," said Tom Yacobellis, President and CEO of the franchise. "Our franchise network can cover projects in virtually every part of the country," he adds.
